200+ Hours ACT/SAT/HS Tutoring Experience
About
WHY I LOVE TUTORING
Tutoring is one of my most rewarding hobbies. I love working with students on concepts I myself worked hard at just years before, and it warms my heart to see what students are struggling with finally "click" for them. Mentoring and befriending my students is also special to me as I can guide them through the at-times hard years of middle and high school--be it by equipping them with needed time management skills or with useful social strategies.
MY EXPERIENCE
I have been tutoring for 6+ years in ACT, SAT, AP Subjects, PLAN/PSAT/Explore, and middle/junior high school math and science. For a few years I worked for NU|Tutors, Northwestern's premier student-run private tutoring company, and even taught a weekend ACT class, managing 5+ students during 4-hour sessuons. With my personally created study guides, multiple students have achieved a 35 or 36 on their final ACT exam; and my students who were having trouble breaking 30 have been able to achieve a 33 or 34 ACT.
