Tutoring With Mrs. A
About
Hi! I’m Mrs. A, and I’ve spent the past eight years working in special education, supporting students from kindergarten through 12th grade. As a self contained special education teacher for 6 years, and a resource teacher for 2 years. I’m passionate about helping every individual discover their strengths, build confidence, and reach their full potential, both academically and personally.
I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education with an LBSI Licensed Behavior Specialist I) endorsement, a Master’s degree in Reading, and an LBSII (Learning Behavior Specialist II) endorsement in curriculum adaptation . These credentials have allowed me to specialize in providing individualized instruction and interventions for students with diverse learning needs.
In my tutoring sessions, I focus on growth across all subject areas: including reading, writing, math, science, and social studies. While also helping students strengthen social-emotional skills and executive functioning abilities such as organization, focus, and self-management. My approach blends research-based strategies with patience, positivity, and flexibility to meet each student right where they are.
I believe learning should feel encouraging, achievable, and even fun! My goal is to create a safe, supportive environment where students can take risks, build confidence, and experience success that extends far beyond the classroom.
