English, History Tutor
Hi! I'm currently enrolled at Moraine Valley and pursuing my bachelor's degree in history at St. Xavier in the fall. I have held a 4.0 GPA during high school and college and have been accepted into the Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society.
I have experience working with kids from babysitting for the last several years and helping my 3 younger siblings with homework. My mom is an elementary school teacher and I am on the teaching track as well.
Even though I'm unable to come to your home, I would be more than happy to use VIDEOCALLING (Zoom or FaceTime) to help your child with homework (whether it be getting their assignments or making sure they're keeping up with essential skills to keep them prepared, engaged and learning).
I look forward to talking to you and your child in the future!

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I'd really like to see their skill level and figuring out where their strengths and weaknesses are. I will start slow and create a pace that works well for them.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
As of May, I'll have my Associates Degree and will be further pursuing my degree at St. Xavier. I have held a 4.0 GPA and pride myself on doing excellent work for school. It is my top priority and I love it. Besides my teachers giving me great information, my mom is an English major and has done a great deal in helping me hone my skills.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
I'm pretty open! $10-20 would be great
How did you get started teaching?
Since I am heading down an education route, I would love to get started working with students now. I really enjoy working with kids and getting information across to them in a fun way.
What types of students have you worked with?
Previously, I have worked with my younger siblings throughout elementary, middle and high school. I've also helped out my mom in her 3rd grade classroom. I am familiar with kids of all ages and always up for a new challenge.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Look for someone who is dedicated to what they do and are willing to make an effort to making learning fun.
