My name is Lance. I'm a math tutor in the North Shore, so I'm familiar with the different approaches and teaching styles at the different schools. have developed a thorough understanding of all math subjects. What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I'm constantly assessing and presenting ways to improve student performance.. Also, I look back (is the student's foundation solid?), I look at the current material, and I look forward (offering a preview of where the class is headed...)...
then, I provide extra materials to complement the class work... This leads to a better understanding of the concepts... In the end, my process evolves as I work with each individual. (Different students have different needs!)
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Math major... Experience in all math subjects... Pre-Algebra thru BC Calculus....
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
Fee is per session... Generally 60 - 90 minutes. Depends on location and math level...
