Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Our tutors get to know the student's learning styles and preferences first. We prioritize creating a strong relationship with our students because we know that students need to be able to relate to their tutor in order to be engaged in the sessions. During the sessions, we primarily work with the student's school curriculum. This includes but is not limited to: homework help, catching up on missing assignments, studying for quizzes & tests, remote learning assistance, executive functioning support, and developing study, time management, and organizational skills.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
All of our tutors have a passion for helping students succeed and have multiple years of tutoring experience. Most of our tutors have experience in the classroom as well. As owner, I am a former 4th and 5th grade teacher. I have experience in special education classrooms as well as general education classrooms. I have seen firsthand what works for students at all levels and am eager to offer my knowledge to all students!
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
We offer month-to-month services as well as discounts for families interested in tutoring with us long term (3+months). Please email [email protected] for more info!
What types of students have you worked with?
We have worked with students of all capabilities! We have worked with students that were struggling as well students that were high achievers looking for enrichment opportunities. Additionally, we have worked with students with disabilities that have impacted learning, such as ADHD, anxiety, depression and more.
