Ashley Math Tutoring

I will be an upcoming senior at Illinois State University, pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education with an ESL endorsement. Since 2019, I have obtained teaching and tutoring experience through working at Kumon while volunteering at Onward House and Western Avenue Community Center, where I assisted underprivileged students in Chicago and Bloomington, IL. I have over 200 clinical hours of student-teaching at multiple elementary schools throughout my college career. I have also obtained an early childhood level 1 credential and will continue my journey by teaching at Northwestern University this summer and Washington Elementary the upcoming school year. Through this process, I have developed a profound understanding of how students learn and the importance of modifying instruction based on the individual’s abilities. I am an enthusiastic, motivating, and accommodating tutor, helping students discover their own learning path through positive reinforcement.
