About
I have been tutoring and teaching students since 1987, at every level from preschool to college. I hold a PhD from Northwestern University. My experience includes 15 years of professional employment in K-12 gifted education, 13 years of tutoring my own children as a homeschooling parent, and many years of tutoring and teaching college students. I have experience and lots of empathy in working with students with LD, dysgraphia, and ADHD. I am still homeschooling my younger children, currently in middle sand high school.
I love working one-on-one with students to help them reach their full potential. Individualizing the educational experience to match the student's needs and learning preferences is the most rewarding part of my job.

I offer a free 15-minute introductory consultation to make sure tutoring with me seems like a good fit. For students below college age, I like to hear from both the parent and the student In every case, I ask what the client's tutoring goals are. What kind of help do you need?
