I am reliable, readibly available, and I bring a relaxing charm to the tutoring experience that hopefully makes it more fun than work!
I am deeply invested in both sharing knowledge with others and acquiring knowledge of my own. A tutoring session becomes a cooperative experience where both instructor and student can learn from each other. I find this mutual learning experience to be extremely engaging and fullfiling. Watching students make mental connections and move forward in life is more rewarding than I have words for.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I begin by simply getting to know a new student. I firmly believe that personalizing education to the student makes for a much better learning experience. I'll ask students how they learn best, what some of their weaknesses are, and what their short and long-term goals are. I will then craft the learning experience to the student's specific needs and desires.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a bachelor's degree in Physics and Philosophy, with a minor in Mathematics.
How did you get started teaching?
I began teaching because a friend's daughter needed help with her physics homework. I was hooked from day one!
