As a teacher with 25 years of experience, I am able to help my students understand both the "how" and the "why" of their work in mathematics.
I love to see the change in students over time as they develop a mathematical mindset and develop confidence in their own abilities to do math and solve problems.
I have 25 years of classroom experience teaching everything from middle school math through Algebra 2 and bring a unique perspective on the challenges of learning and teaching math.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
After exchanging information and setting up a time and place to meet, I like to hear from both the student and guardian and begin the process of understanding their story. Knowing their story helps me to know how to best meet their needs.
Once we have an idea of where we want to go, I will begin working with the student on what they need help with, paying close attention to the students way of working and understanding the task at hand.
