Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I feel it is important to get to know a student not only academically but as well as they like to do outside of school. It is important to try to make connections that way. I also like to take time to explain the process and work with the student to understand and remember the different steps.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have taught for 18 years (all at the same high school). I have an LBS 1 and continue to go to trainings to enhance my skills
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
I charge $60 an hour
How did you get started teaching?
My undergrad degree is in social work, I was working in a residential treatment center to teens and adolescents. The location also had a therapeutic school, it was while working in the school I realized I could make a difference in students lives by helping them with their education.
