I am experienced in using and teaching English in a variety of different ways. I can help with anything from essay writing (persuasive, narrative, expository, you name it!) to grammar to spelling to literature analysis - I have a classical education background and high AP English scores to back it up.
Additionally, I am a qualified and willing French tutor! I've completed high school French with flying colors, am still a French National Honor Society member, and have completed a year of college-level French. Furthermore, I spent three weeks in French language immersion in Marseille two years ago, which greatly boosted my fluency! I specialize in grammar and am happy to tutor French 1 and 2 students in whatever they need or are struggling with! I'm even available to just chat in French, to increase fluency.
I do not have a college degree in either of these fields - I am a high school student still. However, I have been homeschooled for eleven years and have completed college-level English and French courses with glowing recommendations and excellent grades. I am happy to provide references for my skills and if you are not satisfied with my services, I will reimburse you the full cost of tutoring. I believe I can aid a struggling English or French student and would love to try!
I love to teach! I've taught piano for two years with great success and customer satisfaction. I have a passion for the English and French languages, and have excelled in both since I started studying them. Any opportunity to use this knowledge and proficiency to help others thrills me! I have experience teaching writing and mentoring French, and am excited to put these skills to further use.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
English: let's start with a discussion! I want to know what, exactly, within the broad English field, you are struggling with. We'll need at least fifteen minutes to nail down what your needs are, and then I will craft a uniquely tailored approach to help you conquer them! I use tools like NoRedInk and my own personal expertise and resources to help you learn grammar, grow in your composition abilities, and become a more well-rounded, confident writer. Literature analysis will require reading and discussions.
French: let's start with a discussion! I will need to know where you are in your French language journey and what you're specifically struggling with. Then, I will use my French language skill and confidence to help you grow yours. I use several French language resources and enrichment materials such as 1jour1actu and curated French music, cultural websites, and other educational resources to help you understand French and feel comfortable using it. I design every program for every student uniquely and individually, to best fit what you need and want out of tutoring.
