I enjoy making the light bulb go off for students. I enjoy elucidating difficult concepts and inspiring students to study more advanced levels of a subject.
I have a Bachelor of Arts in Music and studied Chemical Engineering in college. I have been tutoring for three years.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
My typical process for working with the student entails helping them with homework or to prepare for a quiz/test that's coming up soon if needed. If not needed, we begin working on fundamental skills and concepts in the subject that they need assistance with.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a Bachelor of Arts in Music, I speak Spanish, And I studied Chemical Engineering in college.

I charge $18 per hour for all subjects and grade levels.
How did you get started teaching?
I got started teaching by tutoring friends and family members.
What types of students have you worked with?
I have worked with 2nd graders for reading and math, highschoolers for biology & calculus, college graduates for Spanish, and 6th graders for reading & writing.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
It's important to be clear on what you don't understand. Tutoring is not just for completing assignments. Tutoring should help you to master fundamental concepts and acquire the skills you need to progress to higher levels of the subject.
