I have always excelled in Math from elementary to high school, being the best in Mathematics every single year. In college, I had all my Math courses A. I have a BS, MS, and worked on my PhD in Statistics. In graduate school, I was a straight A student and had a perfect score in Math (Quantitative) part of the GRE.
I have taught numerous undergraduate courses in Mathematics and Statistics. I have tutored Math and Statistics in both high school and college level. I also have assisted graduate students in their Statistics classes and even helped more than 50 students with their graduate theses and dissertations.
I do enjoy the feeling of seeing my students succeed and gain confidence and skills that they thought they will never have.

Basically, I need to assess the level of understanding of the student on the subject matter. Most of the time, some concepts need to be defined and clarified first before proceeding. Math as a subject is "cumulative" as it builds concepts from basic/elementary concepts.
Once I know the level of understanding, I usually assess how students get and process information. Some students would like to focus on techniques and some students will understand it better if I present the concept using a diagram/picture. We all learn in a different matter and I want to make sure all of the concepts presented to the student are clear and makes sense to the student.
I have a pure Statistics Background-- BS, MS, PhD (ABD).
I loved learning Math and Statistics when I was a student and I have developed the passion in teaching it.
I also scored a perfect Math score in GRE when I applied for graduate school.

I have taught and tutored high school, undergraduate, and graduate level students for about 20 years now.
I have taught high school level students (Algebra, Geometry, Trigonometry, Pre-Calculus, Calculus AB), undergraduate (Algebra, Statistics), and graduate students (Quantitative methods, Probability, Linear Models).
