About

My tutoring service stands out due to my diversified experiences along with my relatability to many students. My work experiences have been many; I have worked at a neuroprosthetic lab at Feinberg School of Medicine, a cancer genomics lab at the Ben May department at the University of Chicago, as well as my current endeavor at the Stem Cell Core of Northwestern. Furthermore, I believe that I can offer a relatability to today's students better than most tutors since I just recently graduated high-school. I know how tedious and boring traditional schoolwork can be, and I will offer my students a personalized approach that caters to my client's individuality.

I believe the school system (at least in the United States, where I am located) can be very flawed at times. By taking a generalized approach to teaching, many students have been left behind. I myself was one of those students in the past, so I know how hard it can be to passed over by teachers and have exams 'measure' my incompetence. However, I am grateful for that experience, as it has allowed me to understand that for each student, learning comes differently. By taking my own measures to learn the subjects, I was able to significantly improve my academic ability. I want to be able to spread my knowledge and help students that face the same problems I did in the past in regard to school and education. It's not fun being left in the dust, and I'd want to help students going through that.

    Frequently asked questions

I tend to create a personalized lesson plan for students after I gauge their strengths and weaknesses. I believe in fundamentals, so I won't start teaching advanced topics until I know my student has a solid knowledge of the fundamentals.

I have graduated from the Illinois Math and Science Academy, which is the number 2 public school in the United States. Although it was rigorous, I learned a lot about what it means to be a student. Although my first year there was an academic failure, I was able to maintain a 3.95 (out of 4) for the rest of the semesters at IMSA. I have also worked at three esteemed labs in the last few years. I developed a stroke rehabilitation program at the Slutzky Neuroprosthetic Laboratories at Feinberg's school of medicine. I was also able to work at Lixing Yang's lab in the Ben May cancer department at the University of Chicago, and currently, I work with induced pluripotent stem cells at the Stem Cell Core at Northwestern. This fall, I will also be attending Northwestern as a freshman, majoring in Neuroscience.

Depending on the client and the studies involved, I'll work with students to come up with an affordable price for learning. I tend to be on the cheaper side when it comes to personal tutors.

A few years ago, I began teaching chess (my elo is 2000+) on the side to make some pocket money. Eventually, although my business had grown significantly, I had to stop due to studying at a boarding school. However, I still teach whenever I get the chance. I have quite a bit of time on my hands now, so I can teach.

I have worked with students from 4th grade to students who just completed the 8th grade, but I am open to working with everyone 12th grade and under.
