Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I need to get to know the student, specifically what their interests are. This will help me to engage the student and make the student want to learn. It's all about establishing a method tailored to the student.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have my bachelor's degree in this field I am teaching. Also, I have been tutoring this subject for two years now.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
$12 per hour and your time will not be wasted. Your time is my time. I am all about efficiency.
How did you get started teaching?
I love to help people and tutoring English is one way that I do that. Many people struggle with English but it is one of the toughest languages being taught. Nonetheless, it is a universal language and it is very important to learn.
What types of students have you worked with?
The youngest I have taught is 2nd grade and the oldest I have taught was college students. Age definitely has a factor in my teaching approach, but rest assured that no matter what the student's age is, I can help.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
As a student, you need to evaluate your capabilities. Figure out your strengths and weaknesses. Everybody has a weakness or something they are not as good at. Sometimes people have more weaknesses than strengths and that is perfectly fine. At the end of working with me, you will not have weaknesses. You will be a strong English writer and speaker.
