About
I am a certified K-9 teacher in Illiniois with a Middle School Endorsement, Math Endorsement and Algebra Certification. I have taught middle school math for 17 years and love to inspire students to use math in an applied form into their everyday lives as well as the classroom. I am very knowledgeable with common core math and have lead many teams at my school to use this form of math in their classrooms.
I love helping students understand math and apply the concepts they have learned. Math is all around us and there are many ways to answer a math problem. I like to help students discover that there is more than one way to solve a problem and help them to figure out the way that works best for them.

What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
A student should never not ask the questions. Discussion and collaboration are a fundamental part of learning. Ask every question and listen to the ideas or answers after you ask the question.
