English/writing, Clarinet, Theology, Catholic Teaching Tutor!
About
I am a recent college graduate who is heading to graduate school in the Fall! I have a passion for tutorings just as much as I do for learning. I love working with students to meet their needs compassionately and patiently.
I have been helping friends understand English and writing since early high school--they always come to me for a polished proofreading!
I have played clarinet for over 9 years. During high school, I tutored students learning this instrument for 2 years. I had a blast helping them get some extra pracice and feel more confident about their abilities.
I enjoy seeing the "A-ha!" moment on student's faces once they grasp a concept or accomplish an academic feat into which they have been putting a lot of effort.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
When working with a student, the most important aspect is making sure the student feels confident that success is attainable!
I like to meet with the student and figure out which areas in which they are encountering struggles, and come up with a plan of action that best suits the student's needs and wants. The student will provide desried results they wish to receive via tutoring.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

Clarinet: I have played clarinet for over 9 years and I love getting musical! I tutored this instrument for 2 years in high school, and was the clarinet section leader for 3 years. I have continued playing this instrument to this day!
Catholic teaching: Having a degree in theological studies from a Catholic institution, I am very well-versed in theology and the teachings of the Catholic Church.
