About

This is run by a college student that knows the best studying methods to understand and memorize concepts in a timely and efficient manner. As a University of Michigan-Ann Arbor Honors student, I have a lot of experience with taking and conquering hard classes by using adaptive study habits. These study techniques will also positively impact the mental health of the student as well, so they do not get too stressed out during critical times.

I wanted to rate 1 star but it wouldn’t let me. This person never contacted me. I left several messages after choosing her. I feel like this site is a scam.

Frequently asked questions

First, I will get to know who they are and what type of student they are by just conversing with them. For younger kids, I will try to play a game that eases their nerves during the first session and gets them to be more comfortable with the new process. Then, I will make a study plan for them depending on what areas they need to focus on and how much attention each area needs. This will be a detailed plan and then we will also chart their progress through excel. Lastly, we will implement the study plan and make any necessary changes as we keep going based on their progress.

I have two specializations from Johns Hopkins University for Epidemiological practices, which focus on applying basic science and math principles. Since I am currently a University of Michigan-Ann Arbor honors student, I have taken many courses that focus on chemistry, biology, statistics, and calculus.

I have been tutoring since I was in high school through Kumon and I continued at the University of Michigan as an athletic tutor. Now, in quarantine, I also tutor through a youth center to help students get the help they need even if it is virtual.

I have worked with students from the ages of 6 to 20. Through Kumon, I tutored students that needed help in basic reading and math skills. Then, at the University of Michigan, I tutored college students in specific college courses that I previously took and did really well in. Lastly, I tutored high school students through a program in my high school that allowed me to tutor these students in classes that I had excelled in.

The most recent event that has happened to all of us is the global pandemic. This forced situation has caused me to re-evaluate my goals and values, and one thing that did remain constant was my passion for spreading positivity through tutoring whether that be through volunteering for a youth center or just tutoring my cousins. I became fond of this situation because I took it as an opportunity to better myself and my community.

Math and science are not easy subjects, and any teacher in my area of expertise will work you till you understand the concepts to the core. It will be hard, but it will be worth it because the study habits you learn will last you for a lifetime. I would advise students to be mentally prepared to work hard and accepting of tough days. Those days will pass by, but the results will last.

Students will need to think about how much time will I be able to put into improving my skills? What teaching styles (images, notes, or active) will help me understand the concepts in an easier manner? Am I mentally prepared to work hard?
