Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I listen to the student, parents and (if they are willing) discuss student needs with student's current or past classroom teacher. Based on varied experience, I find that it is best to assess in order to find student level and plan activities that help them improve their skills so they are successful in school. I pre-assess the areas that we discussed to find student level and see if there are gaps in learning. Then, I plan activities and skills that we will need to cover in order to boost students progress.
