I am a certified teacher and a private tutor of elementary reading/reading comprehension, writing, and math. I have 15+ years of experience working with a range of elementary-aged students, including modifying and individualizing for students with special needs. I have the Master of Arts in Teaching from National Louis University, a gifted education endorsement from Northwestern University, and a Fellowship from Klingenstein Institute-Teacher's College. My service includes diagnosing areas of strengths and needs, assessing goals and objectives, and delivering targeted and scaffolded lessons to strengthen skills and understanding.
Education is my choice second career, after spending years volunteering in my own children's elementary classrooms. I thrive in the 'aha' moments students experience with their newly discovered knowledge and understanding.
