Tutoring and teaching math has always been a passion for me. Helping people understand math and have "aha" moments is what drives me on a daily basis.

I have been a part time tutor for math since undergrad and have tutored from pre-k to calculus III.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
When working with a new student I like to take a little time to get to know them. I will also assess their level so I can tailor the tutoring to my students needs.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have many years working with students in their home, in math labs, online, and at Mathnasium of Gilroy.
How did you get started teaching?
While studying for my math degree I began tutoring for extra money. I realized that it was a very rewarding experience for me.

I have worked with students from every level from kindergarten through seniors in college.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Look far a tutor capable of adjusting to your learning style and needs.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
Students should define what they want from a tutor. Do they need detailed help or just a push in the right direction for example.
