Victoria Espinosa Tutoring
About
I am a recent graduate of the Advanced Math and Science Academy. I have graduated with a 4.4 GPA, taking all Honors and AP classes. This has left me with experience in AP Statistics, AP BC Calculus, Advanced Pre-Calculus, Advanced Trigonometry and Algebra II for mathematics; high proficiency in all English classes; and high proficiency in Spanish courses that resulted in me achieving the Massachusetts State Seal of Biliteracy in Spanish. I have been tutoring for two years, primarily through my high school's tutoring center. My students have ranged from 7th graders to 11th graders, covering the subjects listed above, as well as Algebra and Geometry for middle schoolers. I have always been a very high achieving student, and I look to inspire that in the students I tutor. I believe that there is no concept too difficult, and no one who is just "unable" to understand something. All it takes is the right way of explaining it, whether it be a clear metaphor or my tried and true method: "When in doubt, graph it out!". That is what I think the beauty of tutoring is, and it is why I think my best skill is finding unique approaches to explaining difficult mathematical concepts for each individual student. Even more than just understanding mathematics, I hope to inspire the love and curiosity that I believe can only come after there is true understanding. Lastly, it is important to me to make tutoring as affordable as possible, not only something those with wealth should be able to afford.
