Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
We will start by assessing the question and what it is asking. After making sure that the student understands what the question is actually trying to ask I then proceed to explain the process. Once the process is explained I go over any extra questions or methodology that the student requires. Then we can move on to answering the question the correct way.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have completed advanced High school classes especially in the AP department. My writing is in the top 99% in the state so it can't really get any better than that.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
Prices vary inquire for more.
How did you get started teaching?
I just always found it really interesting how my teachers were able to convey their information to me. So I thought I need to be able to provide that for outher students. Finding tutoring has been great and it helps me further my knowledge for the future.
What types of students have you worked with?
I've worked with students who just need a hint here or there to students who have very limited knowledge on the subject.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
Due to the COVID debacle a lot of recent events haven't been the best. But I can say with certainty that getting accepted into various colleges was the highlight of my 2020 for sure.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Don't take the first option always look into multiple sources before deciding. If the person doesn't suit you break it off don't torture yourself with somebody you don't like because then you won't be able to learn as much.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
The most important question is how can you accommodate my needs and wants. If that answer is not satisfactory then there is no need to be with that teacher.
