Tutoring With Kat

Hello! My name is Katharina, though students often refer to me as Teacher Kat. As an internally driven individual, I currently hold a TEFL certification (Teaching English as a Foreign Language), and a Georgia Teacher Ethics certification. Additionally, I am working on my Georgia Elementary Education license and am approximately 8 months away from beginning demonstration/student teaching. In a desire to increase my wealth of knowledge, I am in the process of submitting my Institute for Excellence in Writing "Teaching Writing: Structure and Style" practicum assignments to obtain instructor certification. Presently, I homeschool both of my daughters, who are in the 3rd and 4th grade and have homeschooled since Pre-K in all subjects.

As a current student teacher, homeschool educator, and ESL teacher, I have experienced multiple education environments that allowed me to work with various wonderful students. I particularly enjoy teaching the Elementary and Middle School age groups, especially as it relates to my certifications and experience. I hope to have the privilege to tutor your child!
