We get to know the students' and parents' goals and formulate a plan of action with those in mind. We take into consideration grades in school, past test scores, desired test date, student's willingness to participate in sessions and to perform related homework assignments, his or her overall attitude and level of curiosity, and any extracurriculars that he or she enjoys.
We enjoy seeing our students excel on the test. Seeing the "light-bulb" moments and watching them develop their skills as test-takers is truly exciting for us.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I customize each course I do for each student, regulating pace and problem-type to suit the student's needs.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Graduate of Stanford University and Oxford University (year abroad). BA History. Graduate of The Westminster Schools in Atlanta, Georgia. Former Kaplan tutor.
How did you get started teaching?
I did well in school and enjoyed being a student. I took those skills and have applied them to teaching courses that most interested me, especially the SAT, ACT and SSAT courses.
What types of students have you worked with?
SAT, ACT, & SSAT preparation, junior high school and high school English, Math, and History, are by far are the most common jobs that I do for my clients.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
I have had a number of students this year perform well on the SAT, ACT, and SSAT. Please see the testimonials on my web site for more information.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Compare my courses in price to the big, national tutoring services. You will find that I am about one-third of the cost, and my course is informative, challenging, effective, relevant, and custom-designed.
