What is your typical process for working with a new student?
-sitting down with the parent (if the student is elementary aged) and discussing learning point/ goals.
-middle school -adult age i like to sit down with both the student and parent and discuss their learning goals.
- we then discuss rates and start the sessions!
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am certified to teach k-12
i also have a bachelor of arts in english.

my starting rate is at $30 an hour.

How did you get started teaching?
I got started teaching in the classroom when i was given the opportunity to be my HS teachers' intern; the rest was history. I went to college and continued to intern and then that transition to student teaching which later transition to independent teaching upon graduation. Now i have been teaching for years and love every moment of it.
What types of students have you worked with?
i have worked with students with autism; deaf students; students with ADHD and the list goes on.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
the lollipop moment when a student came back to me and told me about a moment they experienced from me and how it changed their life,
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Go with the expert who is warm: people always forget what you tell them but they never forget how you made them feel.
