Combining industry experience with professional tutoring experience, I have had the opportunity to fine-tune my methods to help students succeed in math classes and improve their SAT math scores. I approach each student uniquely, tailoring my lessons to the concepts and strategies that they need the most help with. I received an 800 on my math SAT, and I have helped students raise their SAT math scores by over 150 points.

I am a professional tutor working towards a Bachelor of Science in Neuroscience and Behavioral Biology from Emory University. I have tutored professionally for the past four years and would love to help you or your child further their education during this pandemic. I am offering primarily online sessions at this time.

I believe everybody learns differently - as a student, I memorized songs and created flow charts to study for my standardized tests and courses. It took creativity and experimentation to find the learning methods that worked for me. As a tutor, I recognize that these tests are intimidating and that coursework can be quite challenging, but I also believe that individualized studying techniques and lessons to fill in the gaps in classroom education yield positive results.

I have a vast amount of teaching experience. I've tutored struggling high school and middle school students in Algebra, Geometry, Algebra II, Calculus, SAT prep, History, English, Spanish, and many other subjects. In recent months, I have expanded my business to tutor elementary school students and college students as well.

My goal as a tutor is to engage with my students on their terms - catering my lessons to their learning style, interests, and challenges. The value of tutoring lies in the one-on-one attention. A classroom will never be able to tailor lessons to a student's interests, aspirations, or particular challenges. I offer both a conceptual mastery of the subjects I tutor and a creative, flexible attitude to tutoring. I also aim to bolster my students’ confidence in their skills and abilities.

I believe every student is capable of grasping math concepts, and each of us just needs to connect with a person who can explain math in a way we can understand. I hope to be that person for you!
