I have taught English literature in grades 6-12 for 8 years. I can also teach history and other humanities.

I have a Master's degree in Education. I am certified to teach English 6-12 in Florida and have 9 workshop certificates from the IB.

My IB English students get top results on exams and assessments. As a coordinator and examiner, I know what the IB is looking for.

I love helping students achieve their dreams through hard work and dedication.

The strenuous amount of literature ToK demanded to be well-versed in was no easy nut to crack, and definitely called for assistance. Tutoring was the most efficient and effective way to quickly digest those required readings and acquire a head-start on related assignments.

I am going to start off by saying that I’m new to the IB programme two years ago. I grew up studying a Cambridge IGCSE/O-Level curriculum, for 10 years to be exact. When I first start the IB programme, it was very overwhelming, completely different from what I’ve learnt. I was used to writing only 500 words essay but under the tutoring, I improved a lot in the speed of light (not even joking). I was able to write 3,000 - 4,000 words essay within 2-3 weeks which was insane, I have to admit. Yes, it might be me who was working hard to catch up but the tutor played a huge role in this turning point of my life. He was very patient, understanding, loving, and knew what he was doing. Could you believe that someone who used to only write a 500 word essay once or twice a year could pass IB English HL? Hands down, he is the best English tutor I’ve ever met! Not to forget, I can’t believe I understand Theory Of Knowledge. I felt like crying when I looked up on what we were going to study for TOK but he made it all easier to understand. No way it’s me who studied hard for TOK, I mean how do I even study for TOK. The tutor made it very clear on what we were studying and explained it in an easy way (sorry for repeating). Furthermore, he made the class very fun, I’m always entertained by TOK class (I know it’s not supposed to be that way). I still can’t believe that I earned a remarkably high mark for TOK essay. Most importantly, he teaches from his heart (because he loves his job) and not merely from the book. I’m glad that we crossed paths, otherwise I might not be able to enter my dream university.

Friendly and thorough explanations of every advanced concepts made it very easy for me to have a firm grasp of the lessons taught. Some of these explanations are also delivered in forms of analogies so that students are able to find them more relatable. Moreover, tutor is very understanding when it comes to differences in academic abilities or fluency in languages. As an international student and a non-native English speaker, it made me feel more comfortable and confident throughout my learning journey.
