What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Talk! We’ll begin a conversation to find out where the student’s current English level is and where they would like to go. After this, the tutor will create a plan to help the student reach their goals!
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
TESOL Certification from Intercultural Training of Australia, English teaching in Cambodia, and two years of student teaching in public school systems.
What types of students have you worked with?
I’ve worked with students ages 5-25. Most of my time has been with school-aged students 13-17. While I’ve taught l hundreds of public school students in the past four years, I’ve spent a majority of my time teaching ESL. About half of these students were of South Asian descent, while the other half were of Hispanic descent.
