    Frequently asked questions

I will need to first meet with the child's parents/guardians about their expectations. Then, I will meet the student, and complete an assessment of current education level and set goals for a successful year.

✅️Masters in Early Childhood Education (M.Ed.), ✅️Tutoring, ✅️14 years of teaching experience, ✅️currently tutoring students in grade levels of K5 through 5th grade.

My standard price is $40 per hourly tutor session per student.

📚 I began teaching over 14 years ago with students both in regular and special educational classes. I have always wanted to be an Educator since I was 8 years old. It is a gift that I am blessed with, and I am truly grateful for every opportunity to teach.

I have worked with students in Pre-K through 6th grade (regular and special education).

It brings me joy when parents tell me that their child can now read, and enjoys reading.
My advice for a student or the student's parent is to ask lots of questions before hiring a teacher. Make time to call or send a message to the teacher (even for 5 minutes) just to see if you are compatible with their teaching style, and if you feel comfortable just talking with the teacher. Communication is the key to learning. You will need to make that first step to reach your learning goals in life. You got this. 😊
🤔Students should think through exactly what they struggle with, and to be honest about their learning needs.💡Students may ask for help with setting goals in their education.📚 ✍️Write your questions down before you interview the Teacher/Tutor. Here are some examples of questions to ask: ✍️What kind of teaching will you present? ✍️Could you tell me about your teaching experience and education? ✍️What do you recommend that I bring to the tutor sessions? ✍️Will homework be required after each session? ✍️How often should I attend sessions? ✍️Is it possible to do more than an hour of tutoring? ✍️Do you have additional resources? ✍️Where do you tutor in-person? ✍️Do you offer online virtual tutoring? ✍️Why do you like tutoring? ✍️When can you start tutoring me? ✍️May we do a Meet and Greet first, before I commit to hiring you?
