👋🏼Hello. My name is Mrs. Mathews. I am an Elementary Educator and Tutor. I have a passion and purpose for teaching. My special skill is that I have patience. I am an encourager and cheer for my students to do their best. I have 15 years of experience in teaching elementary students in both regular and special education. I am experienced in working with students with Autism, ADHD, and Dyslexia. Other teaching positions I have held are: paraprofessional, teacher assistant, afterschool teacher, substitute teacher, Sunday school teacher, and Vacation Bible School (VBS) teacher.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I will need to first meet with the child's parents/guardians about their expectations. Then, I will meet the student, and complete an assessment of current education level and set goals for a successful year.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
✅️Masters in Early Childhood Education (M.Ed.), ✅️15 years of teaching experience, ✅️currently tutoring students in grade levels of K5 through 5th grade.

My standard price is $40 per hourly session per student, and there are discount rates for additional sessions in the same week.
How did you get started teaching?
📚 I began teaching over 15 years ago with students both in general and special educational classes. I have always wanted to be an Educator since I was 8 years old. It is a gift that I am blessed with, and I am truly grateful for every opportunity to teach.
