I am a veteran math teacher of 23 years. Have taught 5th, 6th, 7th, and 8th math, as well as Algebra I.
I have my specialist degree in curriculum and instruction, as well as a solid background in both GA and SC math education standards.
I am passionate about helping children become more confident with working with math concepts. I love to see the “light bulb” go off when a student finally understands a new math concept they have been struggling with.
I enjoy working with students and helping them develop a solid conceptual understaning of math topics, as well as helping them learn step by step processes for math skills.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I work with students based in their individual needs, helping them not only become more successful in their math classes at school, but also become more confident with math skills in general. I am patent and have leaned hundereds if strategies for teaching mathematics.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have masters and specialist degrees in education. I am currently a certified teacher in GA, but have taught in S.C. as well. In addition, I have 24 years experience of teaching mathematics in middle school and Algebra I for high school credit.
