About
My drive and determination for each student's success is what gives me the upper hand over other tutors. My goal with each student is to help them to not just remember the material, but learn it as well. Math can be a struggle for some. However, it can be conquered by all. I have been providing help for several students since 2010. I began helping peers and siblings while in middle and high school. Then while in college, I provided free assitance to students in different math courses. Since I always excelled in math classes and was able to help others to also succeed, I feel as though now, especially during COVID-19, I should help others in need again.
In my opinion, the best part of my tutoring services/sessions is when I am able to witness the moment the student grasps the material. Due to my hunger for success, I will not stop until the student is able to accomplish all goals set forth during my sessions. I believe in working for what we want and that practice makes perfect. While learning math in school, I experienced moments where I absolutely hated the subject, and moments where I loved it. The difference between the two was that Math made me miserable whenever I found it to be a struggle at the time. My issue was that I didn't understand the material. However, once I began to understand it, it started to feel like a fun game. This is the experience I want to provide to all students. This way, not only will they be able to accurately solve problems, but also began to like math.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
For starters, when working with a new student I would need to know the following:
1. Topics/Subjects of concern or difficulty
2. Material given by teacher/professor
3. Methods used or proferred by teacher/professor
I prefer to have a consultation meeting so that I can gather all the necessary material and better assist each student prior to the first session. During this consultation, I will discuss meeting times and any concerns of the student. From there, we can begin working on the materials during the next meeting.
