EMCC has a way with drilling down to what each student needs and providing an individualized plan for them to succeed on the SAT. They were impressive in how they increased our son’s math SAT scores!!! EMCC has proven time and time again they can raise SAT scores. Very professional and high quality instruction. I refer everyone to them! You won’t be sorry!

I had a great experience with the tutors here at Exceptional Math Coach, they both helped me understand math even when it seemed too complex.
For example, I had trouble understanding factors (they looked like very complicated equations)
but it was broken down for me, and now I can do factors fairly easily.
Theyre also quick to respond to any concerns.
Personally I really appreciate the help here.

The one-on-one instruction with the tutors ensures personal growth with students on individual goals for SAT prep and success. I enjoy the interactive nature of the tutors and the check ins in between sections. I have learned new techniques in each session on current and personal endeavors with school. I feel more confident in my mathematical ability for the SAT.

I first began working with youth as an Americorp volunteer during my undergraduate years. I started teaching in 2008 and never stopped!

I have worked with students in all learning environments: traditional, online, public, private, charter, and international schools.

The best advice I can give is to learn how to analyze the types of mistakes you make in class. Not all mistakes require a tutor, some mistakes just require you to slow down and read the question more carefully. Some mistakes reveal that there are concepts that you may need help from a professional in order to understand better. If you are having trouble with concepts and strategies, I advise working with a math tutor/ math coach and making sure to ask as many questions as you need to help you understand!

I think students should ask themselves what type of mistake are they making? Careless (ex: rushing, writing wrong number), Computational (making mistakes during arithmetic and algebra), or Conceptual (not understanding the mistake, the question, the pictures, vocabulary, etc)?
