About
Welcome to The Talented Tutor where my passion shines through meeting the educational needs of my students. I am currently a Gifted Specialist for Rockdale County Schools in Georgia. I absolutely love my career not only do I get to challenge and accelerate students, but they get to learn in the most engaging, interactive as well as hands on ways.
I have been in the world of Education for 18 years. With my degree in Early Childhood Education 5 years were spent in the Private Sector of Early Childhood. There I taught Pre-Kindergarten students how to read, write and basic Math. I then moved into Public Education and received my bachelor’s degree which then certified me to teach K- 8. I started to teach First grade for 3 years and then moved to 2nd grade for 4 years. In 2013 and in 2018 I was awarded Technology Teacher of the Years. I started to notice I had a way of challenging my students and making sure they always showed growth. Therefore, I decided to get my master’s degree in Gifted Education. As soon as I completed my degree, I received a job offer as a Gifted Specialist. Now my duties consist of identifying, accelerating, and challenging Gifted Students. I love what I do. God gave me this gift and I believe that he wants me to connect and meet the needs of more students. So now I am branching out and offering my services to students who need individual support. I promise my job will not be complete until the students I tutor have mastered the areas they are in need of. I will make my services memorable, no boring worksheets and taken notes but engaging learning experiences.
