Hello! I am certified by the State of Florida to teach Math grades 5-12. For ten years, I taught Intensive Math, Pre-Algebra, Algebra1 and Geometry. And, now, I am tutoring those subjects online to home school, private school and public/charter school students from all backgrounds and abilities. With my guidance, patience and experience, all of my students- from those struggling to learn to gifted- quickly improve their math skills and show remarkable improvements in their classroom grades and test scores.
What I enjoy most about my work is positively influencing students from a wide range of backgrounds and abilities. What is your typical process for working with a new student?
When working with someone new, I will talk to the student and their parent to hear about their needs and challenges. As we begin working together, I will learn more about their learning styles, what motivates them to do well and what areas we might need to cover to address any missing skills.

My standard rate is $45 an hour for one-on-one online tutoring services.
How did you get started teaching?
When my children were in elementary school, I would volunteer weekly in their classrooms. That is when I developed a passion for working with students.

I have worked with many types of students, from all different backgrounds- from home school to private school to public and charter school- and all different learning abilities- from learning challenges to gifted to combinations of both.
