My tutoring business stands out because I have a passion for mathematics as well as helping others on their journey to success. When assisting a fellow peer in mathematics, I will break down any barrier in order to ensure that they correctly understand the concept. I have been helping others since middle school by assisting the math tutoring lab before school, and through the math lab during high school.
I also have extensive experience in mathematics. I have participated in several seasons of math academics games through my local school district, and have been nominated to participate in higher-level county-wide math competitions throughout middle and high school. I have earned perfect scores on my end-of year statewide assessments in mathematics, and have recieved a score of a 5 on my AP Exam for Calculus AB.
What I enjoy about tutoring is the enjoyment that I feel after seeing my clients understand what they are learning. When I see a smile from the student that I helped, I know that I succeeded in my job.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I first start working with a new student by either trying some practice problems on the material that is being asked about, or I create my own mini-lesson on the topic and provide some practice problems of my own making.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am a high school student that has taken all math levels up through AP Calculus BC.
How did you get started teaching?
I started teaching by volunteering in my morning math help group in middle school. As soon as I started assisting in the group I knew that I enjoyed tutoring and helping others at math. I then continued my passion for tutoring in the math lab at my local high school.
What types of students have you worked with?
I have worked with all types of students. I have worked with students that have both wanted some extra review before a test, as well as students who wanted some extra help after recieving the results of a test. I have also helped students that just need some general improvment in their subjects.
