What is your typical process for working with a new student?
- Get a feel for what the student is struggling with
- Learn what their learning style is (auditory, tactile, etc.)
- Go back to the basic and build that strong foundation
- Help them with the subject matter at hand
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have +12 years of experience in Math courses all the way up to Calculus BC.

Depending on the subject and age, I tend to do somewhere from $20-$30 per hour.
How did you get started teaching?
As a soon if immigrant parents and bring the oldest in my extended family, I have always been looked upon to teach my younger cousins. I have been doing it all my life.
What types of students have you worked with?
All kinds! Younger, older. Girls, boys. Happy, angry. You name it. I even had a stint tutoring kids with learning disabilities.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
Just sit down and think about where their lessons are in school and why they are having trouble with it. Is it the current lesson or something they didn't fully grasp further back. Especially in math it is about the building blocks, if you miss one thing then the next is that much more difficult.
