About
Hi everyone,
Since I was young I have always had a passion for teaching and helping others. I love working with students and helping them them through their work, because I remember what it was like to be in their shoes.
I have been a tutor in competitive debate for 3 years now so I have experience teaching others both online and in person.
Specifcally for math, I remember growing up not enjoying math at all! It wasn't until one of my algebra teachers really broke down the basics and taught me not only how to do everything but WHY we do it that way. Ever since that class I have loved math! I have completed all of my classes with high A's and I finished my last semester college class with the highest grade in the class.
I hope to be able to open students minds and help them truly learn to love math!
My favorite part about my work is seeing it finally click in the students mind. I remember that first moment for me in algebra and it really can change the way you succeed all throughout the rest of your education!

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
When I first meet with a new student I really love to primarily focus on what the root issue is. Do they just not enjoy the subject? Do they have a hard time memorizing formulas? Do they get stuck on word problems?
Whatever the root issue may be discovering that allows me to gauge where we need to spend most of our time and then adjust accordingly for future lessons.
I also hope to encourage them when I meet them to understand what needs to be done to make them truly interested in the subject!
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am a freshman in college and currently taking calculus in the spring semester. I have 3 years of prior tutoring in different subjects. I have received high grades in all my math classes and last semester recieved the highest grade in my college class.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
For my other subjects I charged $40 an hour after doing it for a little while. Since I am just newly getting into the more professional world of math tutoring specifically I plan to charge $25-$30 depending on the level.
Middle school and below is $25
High school and above is $30
What types of students have you worked with?
I have worked with students in elementary, middle school and high school. I have done most of my tutoring online but have had a few in person students.
