Private Tutoring With Asia

Ever since my first job as an instructor for Mathnasium, tutoring has been one of my passions. I worked at Mathnasium for four years, so I am professionally trained on math instruction. Additionally, the process to become a tutor involves rigorous math training and ends in a certification. In other words, I am professionally certified to tutor math in subjects k through algebra 2.

Three years ago, I branched off on my own to tutor privately. I took on tutoring high school students to prepare them for the SAT and ACT. The satisfaction of their gratitude for "making math make sense" is why I do what I do. I have also tutored many Elementary and Middle school students, in all subjects (not just math). I am extremely patient and encouraging, and I take my time when explaining topics to make sure students understand all the material they are required to know for their courses. I am flexible with my teaching style, adjusting my methods to meet each student’s needs.

I have a little brother born in 2007 and a sister born in 2005, and have been helping/tutoring the two of them for as long as I can remember. My brother has ADHD, and so I am experienced with the use of an engaging & enthusiastic approach to keep a student focused when necessary.
