About
I am a Software Engineer with a Bachelor's in Computer Science and a minor in Mathematics from the University of South Florida. I graduated Summa Cum Laude with 3.94 GPA, and received straight As across my Math and Computer Science courses throughout high school and college. I can teach students at all levels from Pre-K to college in math and coding.
With my unique tutoring method, I teach students not only math and coding, but also healthy coping mechanisms and study techniques to deal with psychological challenges to discover their true potential and beyond.
My style of teaching varies based on what each student requires, but I have a firm belief that everyone can learn anything under specialized guidance with time and patience. Teaching is a lot more than just knowing the content and concepts; it is about building confidence in students' abilities and improving their self-esteem by working on smaller problems and incrementally building up to the coursework exercises. I work with each student at deeper phycological level to understand their fear of failure, performance anxiety, and other hurdles that prevent them from achieving their goals.
I worked in the smart lab at USF where I taught students Calc 1, Calc 2, Calc 3, Pre-calc, Geometry, Algebra, Trig, and other math courses. I have professional experience with JavaScript, Typescript, Python, C, C++, and I am also familiar with Object Oriented Programming, Functional, and Procedural Languages.
Outside of tutoring, I work as a Software Engineer full time. I also organize a Meetup group called Tampa Volunteers, and I volunteer as a tutor at a local private middle school as well. I enjoy playing tennis, soccer and running.
