About
I have been tutoring math students since 1990. In 2005 I began teaching college math and computer science as an adjunct professor.
Prior to this I worked for UPS creating mathematical algorithms to enable them to operate more efficiently. My masters degree is from Georgia Tech.
I have tutored students from middle school through college, but high school students and college students who struggle to understand math are my passion. I really enjoy helping students "get it."

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
The student should text or email with what subject matter they need help. If possible, I will have a copy of the book and have worked the problems ahead of time. The student should bring their book, notes and assigned problems. After a brief introduction, we will look over what they are struggling with to identify underlying problems.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a college degree in Mathematics, a masters degree in Operations Research (Applied Mathematics). I started tutoring kids to read when I was in high school. In college I tutored other math students and members from the community. In graduate school I tutored athletes and high school students in math. Since then I have continued to tutor math students in the community. I teach the online sections of College Algebra and Contemporary Mathematics at Boyce College, in Louisville, KY.
