I have tutored for many years. My primary focus is children or adults with learning difficulties at the elementary skill level. My goal is to simplify the task down to a level that can be easily understood. Often times it does mean going back a few steps to secure up some previous skills that are lacking.
My B.A. Special Education degree is from Oral Roberts University. I have almost completed an M.Ed in Administration/Supervision from Liberty University.
I enjoy tutoring struggling students. It is so exciting to see a student get up and dance because they accomplished something they could not do before. It has happened a lot in my career. My goal is to see not only a student's life changed but a family, then the community.

Students are greeted with a get acquainted conversation each visit. Information gained from the parents/or student are used to set our agenda for our sessions. Mastery of skills/word recognition is very important. Various methods will be used based on the students needs and learning style. Previously introduced skills or words will be reviewed for mastery. If successful, new words or skills will then be introduced. The motto "Success breeds success" is important in each session.
