What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Prior to scheduling sessions, I like to meet with the student and/or parent(s) to work hand in hand to build their specialized plan of action. My typical process in beginning a new coach/client relationship is to start with a 30 minute conversation. The first lesson is centered around finding out what the student already knows, and the areas they need extra help in so I can determine what to focus on.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have prior experience working with children up to the age of 16. I have a degree in Psychology from Florida Atlantic University. I was a behavioral therapist for 3 years, working with children with disabilities. However, I've been tutoring students since I was in high school.
