Pensacola General Tutoring
About
I am an educator with over 38 years of experience teaching at middle school and high school levels. I also have extensive experience in school counseling and administration of a career and technical center.
Over the years I taught general science, earth science, physical science, biology and chemistry. After retirement I continued teaching as a facilitator at the National Flight Academy in Pensacola, Florida.
I've counseled students with their career and college preparation and have a thorough understanding of the concepts of Pre K - 12 education.
I believe that an effective teacher is a coach and that students are assisted through the hard work of learning. As a middle school teacher I valued the theory that every instructor teaches language arts and encouraged reading and writing throughout their subject work. Although I have never formally taught a math class, my skills are adequate for assisting students in math instruction. History is a passion.
Helping individuals come to an understanding of the search for knowledge has always been an interest.
I aim to help individuals reach a point where assistance, in obtaining their goals, is no longer required.
