About
My name is Mia DeRosa, I am in my final year as an Exercise Science student at the University of West Florida. I dedicate a lot of time to my studies so that I can continue to be academically successful while at UWF. Many of my professors have recommended me as a tutor for my peers, and through that I have found a passion for teaching. I like to keep a positive environment while studying becomes sometimes certain material can be very frustrating. I can adapt to different learning techniques based on the students' needs and can easily familiarize myself with past topics so that I can teach them to the student. Many of the students I have tutored in the past, have become very successful in their classes after our tutoring sessions. Another benefit is that I have taken most of the exercise science classes already and have developed helpful tips and tricks to help others master the material. My tutoring style will challenge the student so that when they are done with tutoring, they feel confident that they truly know the material.
