Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Students should come prepared with their course materials such as textbook or website, and syllabus or assignment list. I will begin by asking the student to give me examples of exercises or topics that have been challenging and work on those items to get a feel for the background of the student. Some students only need a llittle promptling to be successful. Other students have gaps in their background knowledge that we must address in order to increase their chances of success. In that case, I will design a remediation program for them to work along with the current material in their course.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a Bachelor's degree in Mathematics from the University of South Florida in Tampa, and a Master's degree in Mathematics from Louisian State University.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
I charge an hoursly rate of $80 per hour, with discounts available for multiple lessons.
