FAQs

What is your typical process for working with a new student?

Find out what the student believes is their strengths and weaknesses. Work with them on their problem areas. I also can work to build a strong foundation.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I have taken multiple AP courses and have tutored at my school for National Honor Society (NHS). I am highly qualified and will be ending my high school career with 13 AP classes and a 4.0 unweighted GPA.

Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.

Depends on the subject. Contact me for more details. Flexible to work out a price with the client.

How did you get started teaching?

I got started teaching because I have tutored at my high school in Algebra, Spanish, and Calculus. Most recently, I have began to tutor in SAT.

What types of students have you worked with?

I have worked with high school students.

Describe a recent event you are fond of.

Every Wednesday, I tutored a student at my school in Algebra 1 and she now has an A+ in her class.

What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?

I would say to be aware of your weaknesses and strengths to know what you are good at and to understand that there is room for improvement. Math did not come to me naturally, but everything takes practice. If you truly apply yourself, you will be able to achieve what you want.

What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?

I think the students should practice their challenge areas to try to improve.
