Melbourne Math Tutoring
About
Very well developed math background. I have a minor in mathematics from the University of Central Florida. Great understanding on how to connect to students and teach them the skills required to pass the math course. For the longest time I've tutored family and friends from my days in middle school and ever since, and feel like I could reach out and help others.
I love when I can connect with someone and show them how to succeed. I like to take the stress out of the material and be able to show them the concepts that weren't clicking and to see that light bulb go off in someone's eyes, like hey I got it now

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
With new students I sit down and listen to what they want to accomplish and we work from there. Easy as that.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I'm currently studying electrical engineering at the University of Central Florida. In completing my degree I've extensively covered many topics in math and always had a very solid understanding of the topics. I've also attained a minor in mathematics. Below are topics I'm familiar with:
Algebra, Algebra 2, Geometry, Pre-calc, Trigonometry, Calculus 1, Calculus 2, Calculus 3, Differential Equations, Matrices and Linear Algebra, and Vector and Tensor Analysis.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
For first time meetings I only charge half of my fee in case there's a feeling that I'm not a good fit for the student.
1st meetings $15/hr (2 hours max)
Typical meeting $30/hr
Will bill to the nearest half hour. For instance session goes to an hour and ten minutes will only bill for the hour ($30). If a session goes to an hour and 20 minutes will bill to the half hour ($45)
How did you get started teaching?
I will be honest I'm not a teacher by trade. I've always liked helping friends and family when they needed help and felt that I could extend my services to other people who feel they need help too.
What types of students have you worked with?
I've worked with students seeking help in several topics in math usually ranging from algebra to Calculus.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
Before meeting with a teacher be sure to know what topics you want covered. Look over the class material and pin point what it is you're really struggling with. If your answer to "What would you like to cover today" is "I don't know" or "everything" it will be a very long session.
