Bernard Melomed
About
My name is Bernard Melomed. I am from the ForLauderdale area and I am currently studying Civil Engineering at the University of Central Florida. I graduated from the highest ranked stem-based high school in the state, Pine Crest School, in May of 2024. There I also held a leadership role as a coxswain on the rowing team which taught me a lot about patience and education when interacting with the rowers. I also have a natural habit of helping those in need, as I held a leadership role in running events for Dec My Room, a community service organization that raises goods for children in hospitals.
Additionally I have a younger sister, who is currently a freshman in high school. I tutored her in all her math classes through out middle school, as well as in essay composition. I would host study groups in high school which would give me more insight on what makes certain people overcome particular cognitive walls. Getting to know the student and cross referencing the material to their real life experiences is one of my favorite and effective ways to help student struggling to understand something
I have flexible hours and am willing to work around the students schedule, as well as their fiscal circumstances. I have a car and I can meet the students in any location they desire. I am also willing to work online. I look forward to assisting my students in reaching their academic goals.
